AI on this site
Route descriptions are compiled by an AI model from the sources listed on each page: Amtrak's route guides and route pages, and the operator's timetable. Every factual sentence is tied to the document it came from, and a copy of that document is stored when it is fetched. Numbers are never written by the model; they are extracted from the timetable or computed by tested code. A person reviews each route page before it is published.
Links that pay a commission
As of the date on this page, no link on the site pays a commission. When affiliate links are added, they will appear only where a reader is choosing a hotel, a tour, or a scenic railroad ticket, they will be labeled, and this page will list the programs. A commission never changes a ranking, a fact, or the order of a list.
The site does not sell train tickets and has no affiliate relationship with Amtrak, which does not run an affiliate program.
Sponsorship
No page carries a sponsored placement. If a tourism office or operator sponsors a placement in future, the element will be labeled "Sponsored" and listed here. Sponsorship never changes a ranking or a fact.
Advertising
There are no display ads on data pages, and none are planned for them.
Data collected
The site does not set cookies and collects no personal data. Page-view counts are measured in aggregate without identifying visitors. If an email form is added for timetable-change notices, it will say what it sends and will unsubscribe in one click.
